Working with you... to train your dog
understanding things from your dog's perspective
Training is so much more effective when our dogs are clear about what we are asking for
Both you and your dog deserve to enjoy the best relationship – let’s make it happen… together
Force-free, positive reinforcement training from an IMDT qualified trainer
Welcome!
Having a great relationship with your dog, enjoying stress-free walks, experiencing calm and excitement in just the right balance, are not just things for other owners to enjoy...
Understanding each other makes life so much easier... and better!
I wonder what your dog makes of it all...
Sit... and more
What does, ‘Sit!’ mean from your dog’s perspective?
Do you and your best friend just love hanging out together? Is there anything you would like to work on to make life together just that bit easier or more fun?
We can work on that… maybe it’s ‘tricks’ you are after… or maybe those puppy teeth are taking their toll…
Loose lead walking
What does loose lead walking mean to your dog?
Does your best friend walk calmly with you… or is your lead arm just that little bit longer than the other one? Would having a loose lead make all the difference? Would it lead (sorry!) to a more rewarding experience for you both?
We can work on that…it’s great to know that your dog will keeping checking in with you while you walk together.
'Come!'
What does, ‘Come!’ mean from your dog’s perspective?
Does your dog rush back to you when you call him or her… or is there just time for one more sniff, one more ‘just got to check this out mum’ before sauntering back?
We can work on that… it’s really reassuring (for all sorts of reasons) to know that you dog will head straight back when you need them to.
Do you sometimes hear yourself shouting, 'No' and getting a bit frustrated?
Is there another way?
What does, ‘No’ mean to your dog?
Let’s work on making it really clear to your dog what we would like them to do instead.
You did then what you knew how to do, and when you knew better, you did better – Maya Angelou
Your dog is doing the best they can with the training they have had, in the environment they are in. If you have a vision of what you want to achieve, tell me about it and let’s work towards it together, bit by bit – it can be done!
Does your dog love life but struggle to...
- be calm?
- focus on you?
- listen to you?
- spend time on their own without getting stressed?
- focus on you when there is something else going on?
- control themselves when visitors arrive?
